Here is the new TStik2 manufacturing test fixture
with one of the first production TStik2 modules installed and undergoing test.
We're still working on the test code and documenation for manufacturing, so this
first run is going sloooowly. But the next manufacturing run will use multiple
copies of this test fixture board, fed by an ethernet switch, all Netbooting
from one TFTP server.
The 2-digit LED is used only for error messages, and displays an error code
(only if the test fails) to the operator. Note the power switch - so that
a bank of these boards can all be powered from one source, and each board's
power can be controlled manually as a newly-minted TStik is loaded and tested
for the first time.
In production the serial port won't be used. Rather, all the TStik2 signals
are monitored and controlled by on-test-board I2C devices. The only manufacturing
connection to a TStik unit under test (UUT) is the ethernet connection on
the upper right.
We're ramping up production as fast as we can afford to do so. We've purchased
a 24-port 10/100 switch which would be capable of feeding up to 24 of these
test fixtures at one time. |
